You can pay for your subscription plan with PayPal or with crypto. A PayPal payment renews your subscription plan by itself, so your access does not stop by surprise. Crypto works in countries where PayPal is not available. This guide shows how each way of paying works and how to cancel a PayPal renewal.
Choose a subscription plan and pay
Click your account icon at the right end of the top toolbar. The profile menu opens.
Rest the mouse on your name at the top of the profile menu, and choose Subscription Plans & Pricing. The Billing & Subscriptions page opens with a table of subscription plans.
In the row of the subscription plan you want, press Subscribe. A subscription plan shorter than one month shows Start instead. The payment panel opens under the row.
In the payment panel, choose Cryptocurrency or PayPal.
Press the button at the bottom of the payment panel. The button shows the amount and the way you chose to pay.
While a subscription plan is active, the buttons in the table read Extend. A subscription plan you buy then adds its time after your current end date, so you lose no days.
Pay with PayPal
After you press the button, PayPal opens in the same window. PayPal asks you to log in to your PayPal account, or to create one. You can pay from your PayPal balance or with a card saved in your PayPal account.
When the payment is done, PayPal sends you back to ForecastCity. A page waits for PayPal to confirm the payment. The confirmation usually takes a few seconds, and then your subscription plan is active.
A PayPal payment renews by itself at the end of each period, for the same subscription plan. On the Billing & Subscriptions page, Auto-renew shows On.
Cancel the automatic PayPal renewal
You cancel the automatic renewal in your own PayPal account. PayPal names its menus a little differently in different countries.
Log in to PayPal and go to "Settings".
Click "Payments", then open the list of automatic payments. PayPal calls this list "Automatic payments" or "Subscriptions and saved businesses".
Choose ForecastCity and cancel the automatic payment.
After you cancel, your subscription plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Soon after, the Billing & Subscriptions page shows Auto-renew as Off.
Cancelling stops the next payment but does not refund the last one. The payments ForecastCity refunds are listed in When can I get a refund?
Pay with crypto
The Cryptocurrency option takes Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and more than 50 other coins. A crypto payment runs on the CoinPayments site.
Press the button at the bottom of the payment panel. CoinPayments opens in a new tab, as the note under the button says.
On CoinPayments, choose your coin and send the amount it shows from your wallet.
Come back to ForecastCity and press I have completed the payment. Pressing it more than once does not charge you twice.
A crypto payment can take a few minutes to confirm on its network. You can close the payment panel while you wait. Your subscription plan becomes active as soon as the network confirms the payment.
A crypto payment covers one period and does not renew. To keep your access, pay again before your end date. The new time is added after your current end date.
Some subscription plans have a discount for paying with crypto. The payment panel then shows the discount on its own line, Crypto payment discount.
Can I pay by card?
ForecastCity does not take card payments directly yet. You can still pay with a card through PayPal. Save the card in your PayPal account, then choose PayPal in the payment panel.
Direct card payment is planned. We will announce it when it is ready.
When PayPal does not work in your country
PayPal does not work in every country. For example, PayPal has not served Türkiye since 2016. In such a country, pay with crypto.
Good to know
Every payment is listed under Payment History on the Billing & Subscriptions page, with its date and status.
Never send your password or a card number to the support team. A refund or a payment question never needs them.
If the PayPal renewal does not stop
Look in PayPal whether ForecastCity is still in the list of automatic payments. If it is, cancel it there again.
ForecastCity is gone from that list, but Auto-renew still shows On a day later. Then write to the support team with the chat button in the bottom-right corner of the Web App.
PayPal charged you after you cancelled: write to the support team with the date you cancelled and the date of the payment.
